About
Dr. Hera Wu is a dermatologist originally from Kansas and now serving patients in Cary, NC. She earned her medical degree from the College of Medicine at California Northstate University and received her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley in Molecular and Cell Biology, where she also minored in Ethnic Studies and Creative Writing. She trained at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where she completed her dermatology residency.
Dr. Wu has been published across several medical journals and was named “Best Resident” in Dermatology by Arkansas Medical Society in May 2025.
Dr. Wu’s clinical interests include integrative medicine, skin of color, complex medical dermatology, inflammatory hair loss, healthcare access, and procedural and surgical dermatology.
In her free time, Dr. Wu enjoys yoga, tennis, hiking, spending time in nature, and being with her dog. She also speaks Mandarin.
